Government holds back financial aid from deserving, hard-working students

"Time goes by so fast when you're having fun." That famous quote is so true, because summer already has passed and it's time to start that new school year. All the students are rushing to make that last dollar or go to the bank to pray for that student loan to go through. I honestly don't think it is very fair for most of us.
I think higher education during a certain part of your life should come free or cheaper to everyone, not just that chosen few.
It is not very fair to say you are able to go off to school for free if you got married young or have kids and are supporting yourself, because for those who still moved out and are trying to work full-time and go to school full-time, the government steps in and says their parents make too much money. Now is this completely fair for most people?
Those people who are given that special chance for something big such as higher education and are getting it free usually take it for granted. Other people who actually want to succeed can't because "they don't have the money." It is just not fair.
As the years go by, education gets more and more expensive and there are fewer people going to school, because they can't afford to pay for it and live.
Then there are businesses that are demanding more and more every day so that in order to work for them, you have to receive a college degree. It just seems like a never-ending cycle that nobody can succeed at unless mommy and daddy make some sort of money or you can get help from the government.
In the end, education is just going to be out of control with the money demands, and people are going to stop trying to go to school or start looking for an alternative.
The government needs to figure out a way to make things fair for everybody and provide an equal opportunity to go to college.

Though I understand your frustration with your current financial situation, I do not share your opinion about education. Free education will never be appreciated in the same manner as one that must be purchased. (Continued…)

Like Joe... I, too, can appreciate your frustrations. However I don't necessarily agree with you. No education is free. It takes a lot of hard work, determination and money. (Continued…)
