Annual honors convocation recognizes outstanding students

The annual Honors Convocation, which took place Sunday afternoon in the Heritage Room of the Amarillo Civic Center, honored many of Amarillo College's top-performing students.

The Academic Excellence Award is made up students representing the top 1 percent of the overall enrollment by maintaining a 4.0 grade point average while taking 18 or more hours. The Alpha Beta Gamma Business Honor Society is made up members who must maintain a 3.6 or higher grade point average in a business major. They are Kristina Alexander, Pedro Canales, Chancy Edwards, Anna Heppard, Cheryl Ince, Nancy Jackson, John Liscano, Jose Meraz, Brandon Miller, Curt Moore, Cathy Morrow, Jere' Redd, Christopher Reeves, Romelia Robinson, Carlos Rosas and Kenneth Wingrove.
