With the winter months fast setting in, some college students are left wondering how they will maintain the tan it took them all summer to get.
Cold weather means less going outside and less being in the sunshine, and for sun worshipers it's a troubling situation.
But don't fret; there is a way to keep that tanned look without laying out in the sun in 40-degree weather.
Tanning beds have gained in popularity worldwide in recent years, and the craze has spread to Amarillo.
Tanning beds are a great way to get color-fast without the hassle of finding the right time to lay out in the sun.
When most think of tanning beds, they think of the conventional lay-down bed where one has to close the lid.
But now many tanning salons offer stand-up beds.
The stand-up beds are tanning beds that one can walk into.
The patron can stand for the entire session, which often is a shorter time than the lay-down bed sessions.
Stand-up beds are designed so that the tanner can get a more even color over the entire body.
Most stand-up beds have stereos built into the bed so one can listen to music while bronzing the body.
