As editor-in-chief for two semesters now, I would like to say something to all the people wanting to write for a college paper: DON'T DO IT! Just kidding ... at least for the sake of this paper.
I have been with The Ranger for entirely too long and have enjoyed being a part of it.
Thanks to everyone for being great and so helpful. I think Amarillo College has a successful future to it and all the students are going to be very successful.
Thanks to Dr. Steven Jones for all your help, to April Sessler for your encouragement and to all the people in Parcells Hall for putting up with our staff. (If you wanted some pizza, all you had to do was ask.)
Thanks to the custodian who would come in the lab at 2 a.m. while our entire staff was finishing their pages.
He was friendly and funny. Thanks for coming to make sure no one had killed each other and to clean up all our pizza boxes.
Also, thank you to my adviser, Mike Haynes. It may sound sappy, but Mike has been there for me for two years and has encouraged me every step of the way.
We have gone to Dallas and Houston for conventions, and Mike has been there to be an honest adviser and friend.
Well, good luck, everyone, and have lots of fun while you're in college.
Appreciate everything and don't be so hard on yourself. Take time for yourself, and pray often.
Say thank you to people who go out of their way to help you. I have made some incredible friends while at AC, and I know they will be there for me, and that is what is important.
Some of the closest are on my staff this semester: Danielá, Stacy and Candice. Cherish all the people you meet, because you may not know them for long or you may know them forever.
The one thing I would say is of top priority is:
Be happy. If you are not happy doing something, don't do it. Life is too short, enjoy all of it.
