From working, visiting a sick grandmother and just visiting with family, students are planning to have a great Christmas holiday.
Marla Russell, a nursing major, said, "I won't be doing much of anything but work."
Angie Byard, an interior design major, plans to spend Christmas in Canadian with her grandmother who, a few weeks ago, was diagnosed with cancer. She said it might be the last year with her grandmoether.
"My whole family will be there on Christmas and on Christmas Eve," she said. "We will go to midnight Mass and then open our gifts from Santa."
On Christmas Day, they plan to cook and visit while the kids play with the toys they received.
Joe Williams, a special project worker, plans on rest and relaxation with his family.
"We will just drink eggnog and do the normal Christmas stuff," he said.
Mary Ann Krammerer, a part-time clerk, plans to go to Houston if the weather holds up to visit her brother and sister-in-law.
"If the weather is nice, we are going to fish in the lake," she said.
Krammerer said she has to buy gifts for five grandchildren. While they are in Houston, she said, they plan to bake cookies and visit.
