A step-by-step demonstration shows how to insert Euronext clip-in hair extensions.

When my cousin and I were younger, we decided that since neither of us has a sister and since we don't have any other cousins, we would be each other's maid of honor when we got married.

So, just like we planned, I was the maid of honor in her wedding on Oct. 25.

I have been trying to grow my hair out after I chopped all of it off last year. But my hair was not as long as I wanted it to be.

I have wanted to get hair extensions for awhile, but I didn't want to get the kind that is sewn into my hair or the kind that is burned onto the hair shaft.

I wanted longer hair, but I didn't want to ruin it at the same time.

I received a 20 percent-off coupon to Sally's Beauty Supply in the mail. So one day after school, my mom and I went there to see if they had any clip-in extensions.

They did, but I was not sure what color would match my hair the best. I'm blonde, but there was more than one shade of blonde to choose from.

So one of the sales associates helped me find the perfect color. He chose Blonde Frost, and it matched my hair perfectly.

I bought the 14-inch straight clip-in extensions in Blonde Frost. Each package includes 10 Euronext extension pieces or wefts.

There is one 8-inch weft, one 7-inch weft, one 6-inch weft, one 5¾-inch weft, four 1½-inch wefts and two 1-inch, color-test wefts without attached clips.

I was trying to put the hair extensions in my hair on the way home from Sally's. I think I put the extensions on about three or four times the day I bought them.

They told me at the store that in order to get the hang of putting the extensions on myself, I would have to practice a lot.

You have to part your hair in sections, starting from the bottom of your head, working your way up. The extensions are attached along the horizontal part you make.

Then, tease the roots of your hair a little bit, so the clips have something to hold onto.

I showed one of my friends my extensions, and she went out and bought a box the same day.

She put my extensions in my hair around 10 a.m. the morning of the wedding. The wedding did not start until 4:30 p.m., and the reception ended at 10 p.m. that night.

My hair looked perfect throughout the whole day. The only negative thing about the hair extensions is that they get kind of heavy at the end of the night, and my head was a little sore. But other than that, I absolutely love them.

I definitely would recommend Euronext clip-in hair extensions to anyone who wants longer, thicker hair but does not want to commit to high-maintenance hair extensions.

Staff Editorial: New law promotes racial inequality

On April 23, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed Senate Bill 1070 into law. The bill requires that police detain any person suspected of being illegally in the state of Arizona.

A week later the law was modified to state that police could only detain an individual and question them about their alien status while the were committing another offense, such as speeding, or loitering. SB 1070 also says illegal immigrants cannot be present “on public or private land in the state” or be traveling through the state of Arizona.

That is the biggest insult to human rights since separate but equal was said to be legal. This law is a slap in the face to the civil rights marches of the 1960s. The people who are immigrating to the United States are doing it for one of three main reasons: to make a better future for themselves and their families, to escape persecution from their homeland or to start a new life, whether through education or marriage.

The Arizona government is telling these immigrants that it doesn’t matter why they fled their country. It is not important to them that they left behind all they knew, possibly leaving behind family members so they can work jobs that we don’t want to do...
