Badgerama drew a record crowd April 24 as more than 500 college and high school students came out in support of the annual festival and Sneak Peek, an event for high school seniors.

Faculty, staff and parents also enjoyed sunny skies and free food provided by Cattle Call.

The semester is almost over, and for some it means the start of summer and preparing for the fall semester. But for others, like me, it's time to start preparing for graduation. As the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end, and that is so true as some of us prepare to go out into "the real world.

Compared to 20 years ago, indoor tanning is much safer for your skin today due to new improvements in tanning bed technology and government regulations.

First, one must understand the difference between UVB and UVA rays. UVB rays are short-wave ultraviolet rays that affect the outer layer of the skin, also known as a burning ray.

In the summer of 1191, Richard the Lionheart laid siege to the city of Acre as part of the medieval Crusades. The duke assembled a machine that was employed to smash an enemy's masonry walls and throw projectiles over them: the trebuchet.

When used in the 12th century, a trebuchet could fling 300-pound objects at high speeds into enemy fortifications.
