In the age of technology, in the age of wars, in the age of Aquarius, Alan Greenspan has withstood the test of time. After 18-plus years as chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, Greenspan has given us a closer look at his inner workings by writing a book titled The Age of Turbulence.

First of all let me tell you why he, after my father, is my idol. The name alone tells it. Let us start with his last name: Greenspan. We all know that green is the color of money and that span means to extend across. With his first name, Alan, being a special tool, we have a special tool for long money.

He is made for it. Greenspan wrote this 531-page book in longhand, and from page one through its entirety, I could not put it down.

Truly, there was never a dull moment in this book. There is never a dull moment in America, and we all know America is money. That makes Greenspan Mr. America.

When you pick up this book, be prepared for a two-part reading. The first is an autobiography. The second part starts at 9/11, then treks back to his childhood on into his tenure as the chief of the Fed.

Greenspan gives us esoteric information on the way we really control the economy by how many dollars we print.

He also tells us that Nixon and Clinton were the smartest presidents during his time.

He bashes George W. Bush for not stopping the out-of-control spending and misdirected focus on prescription drugs and Medicare.

He holds nothing back on the Republican Congress by basically calling them pigs feeding at the trough for their spending on pet projects, so he is telling it like it is.

The man can do that. He has been there and done that. Get the book, read it online, borrow it.

Don't take my word, but I will bet my bottom dollar that when you do read it, you will be amazed at what a genius Greenspan is and had to be in order to control such an honorable spot for so long and to be put in that position by none other than the Gipper himself.

I know this is a must read and a keeper. Get the book; soak up the info. You will love it. It is worth it.
